OVERVIEW
Tier1/AI is an AI-native capital markets communications operating system. Artificial intelligence is core to how the Service drafts communications, generates briefings, analyzes engagement, monitors mentions, and executes approved strategies. This page explains what the AI does, what it does not do, what runs autonomously under Client-approved strategies, and what always requires explicit human approval.
This disclosure is a companion to our Privacy Policy (https://www.tier1ai.io/privacy) and Terms of Service (https://www.tier1ai.io/terms).
1. HOW TIER1/AI USES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The Service uses AI to:
- Draft investor emails, updates, newsletters, and social posts
- Generate morning briefings summarizing overnight activity
- Analyze investor engagement, sentiment, and campaign performance
- Monitor company mentions across the web and social platforms
- Detect notable events via the Radar system
- Suggest strategies based on peer benchmarks and market context
- Support Client questions through the Wingman conversational agent
- Convert briefings and reports to audio via text-to-speech
The Service uses third-party AI providers to power these features. See Section 8.
2. THE APPROVE-ONCE, RUN-CONTINUOUSLY EXECUTION MODEL
Tier1/AI operates on an approve-once, run-continuously execution model. Clients approve a strategy - its content templates, audience segments, sending cadence, subject-matter guardrails, and the Consistency Gate rules the platform must respect. Once approved, the platform executes that strategy autonomously against the approved parameters.
This model is designed to eliminate the operational burden of per-message approval on public-company CEOs and communications teams while preserving the guardrails needed for capital markets outreach.
3. THE CONSISTENCY GATE
The Consistency Gate is Tier1/AI's automated pre-send verification layer. Every piece of outbound content is compared, before it leaves the platform, against The Record - the corpus of that Client's prior SEC filings, approved company statements, prior communications, and other Client-verified reference material.
If a piece of content conflicts with The Record, it is not sent. The Client is notified and can:
- Revise the strategy
- Approve an exception for the specific case
- Update The Record if the underlying facts have changed
The Consistency Gate is not a substitute for legal or compliance review. It is a technical safeguard, not a legal opinion.
4. WHAT AUTO-EXECUTES UNDER AN APPROVED STRATEGY
Once a Client has approved a strategy, the following categories may auto-execute against the approved parameters:
- Sequence emails within approved campaigns
- Newsletters within an approved cadence
- Social posts within approved templates
- Investor updates within approved content parameters
- Radar alerts (internal, presented to the Client and communications team; not sent to contacts)
Every auto-executed action passes through the Consistency Gate before delivery. Every action is logged in the Client's activity record for review and audit.
5. WHAT NEVER AUTO-EXECUTES
The following categories always require explicit human approval before they are sent or published, regardless of any prior strategy approval:
- Press releases
- Earnings-related communications
- Any content the Consistency Gate has flagged for review
- Any new template not yet approved by the Client
- Any communication addressing material corporate developments (M&A, regulatory action, senior leadership changes, revised guidance, material litigation, or similar)
If in doubt, the platform routes content to human approval rather than auto-executing.
6. CLIENT CONTROL AND OVERSIGHT
Clients retain full control over their platform activity at all times.
Clients can:
- Pause any strategy at any time, immediately halting all auto-execution
- Review a complete activity log of every draft, send, and generated artifact
- Revise or revoke strategy approvals
- Update The Record used by the Consistency Gate
- Require per-instance approval for any category of content
- Cancel or export their data per our Data Retention Policy
7. PRINCIPLES AND COMMITMENTS
Tier1/AI operates under the following commitments:
7.1 Human accountability.
Every action taken by the platform is attributable to a Client-approved strategy or a Client's direct instruction. AI is a tool. Clients are accountable for what is sent under their name.
7.2 No generation of misleading investor communications.
The Service is not used to generate content designed to mislead investors, manipulate securities markets, or evade disclosure requirements. The Consistency Gate and Terms of Service Section 6 enforce this.
7.3 Human approval for material communications.
Communications addressing material corporate developments require explicit human approval. The auto-execute categories in Section 4 are scoped to routine capital markets communications activity.
7.4 No use of Client Gmail or Microsoft message content for model training.
As stated in our Privacy Policy Section 8, we do not use Gmail message content, Microsoft message content, personally identifiable investor information, or the contents of uploaded Client documents to train or improve our AI models.
7.5 Aggregated intelligence, de-identified.
We do use aggregated, de-identified platform activity - campaign metrics, engagement patterns, content characteristics, strategy outcomes, industry benchmarks - to improve the Service. This data does not identify individual Clients, Investor Contacts, companies, or messages.
7.6 Transparency of automation.
Clients can see, in their platform activity log and daily briefing, every action the platform has taken on their behalf. Nothing runs invisibly.
7.7 Right to error correction.
If AI-generated output contains an error, Clients can report it to support@tier1ai.io. We will review and, where the Consistency Gate or generation logic requires adjustment, make it.
8. THIRD-PARTY AI PROVIDERS
The Service uses AI capabilities from the following providers:
- Anthropic - for reasoning, drafting, analysis, and conversational responses
- OpenAI - for text embeddings used by the knowledge base
- ElevenLabs - for text-to-speech generation of audio briefings
These providers process Client data through their APIs on paid tiers that do not train their foundation models on that data. Additional detail on subprocessors, including the full list, is available in our Privacy Policy Section 9.
9. LIMITATIONS OF AI
AI-generated content is a starting point. It can:
- Contain factual errors
- Reflect biases in source data
- Generate plausible-sounding but incorrect statements
- Misinterpret nuanced context
The Consistency Gate reduces but does not eliminate this risk. Clients are responsible for reviewing content that requires human approval, and for pausing any strategy where auto-executed content shows a pattern of errors.
Tier1/AI does not provide legal, financial, investment, tax, or compliance advice. See Terms of Service Section 10.
10. FEEDBACK AND ERROR REPORTS
To report an AI error, an unexpected output, or feedback on how the platform's automation is performing, contact:
We review AI-related feedback and use it to improve the Service. Where feedback indicates a systemic issue, we address it in the platform's generation logic or Consistency Gate rules.
